Happily Ever After: A Positive Image of Black Marriage Movie Screening
Friday, March 26, 2010, 8:00pm
Location: Everything Goes Café and Books, 208 Bay Street, Staten Island, NY View Map
Overview: Celebrating Real Family Life and Everlasting Love Marriage Ministry, in cooperation with Wedded Bliss Foundation, Inc., is hosting its 4th consecutive Black Marriage Day 2010 with a movie screening of Happily Ever After: A Positive Image of Black Marriage, to be held at Everything Goes Café and Books located at 208 Bay Street on Friday, March 26th @ 8pm.
Happily Ever After: A Positive Image of Black Marriage is a groundbreaking documentary from the creators of the award winning website Black and Married With Kids.com, Lamar and Ronnie Tyler which challenges negative stereotypes surrounding marriage and parenting in the black community. In this documentary, couples and experts discuss topics such as the image and portrayal of black marriages and families, the effect the Obamas will have on marriage in the black community and the importance of parenting.
We encourage our seasoned married couples, newlyweds, engaged couples and dating and/or non-dating singles to join us for an intimate evening and a group discussion about the benefits, challenges and wonders of married life.
