FAMILY EVENTS

We understand that the stress of our everyday life and scheduling conflicts make it difficult to spend quality time together as a family.  Periodically, we plan events that help to create the harmonious family life we all wish to achieve.  By celebrating together and including our neighbors, we also build a stronger community.  Our Family Harmony events are either free or have a minimal cost for participants.  Our past events have included:

* An Afternoon with the Harlem School of the Arts Jazz Ensemble
* Black History Month Celebrations
* Black Victorian High Tea Lesson
* School Holiday Get-togethers for both parents and children
* Couples Night Outs
* Kwanzaa Celebrations
FUTURE EVENTS: LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS

Celebrating Real Family Life adds to the platform another component which we think of as life skills workshops.  Some of our participants have asked for help in areas of their lives which impact on either their marriage or the family.  We provide workshops with experts who can provide the necessary guidance, support and comfort to our community needs.  Some of the topics and events which are in the planning stage:

* Domestic Violence Workshop
* Money Management and Financial Planning
* Parenting Classes
* Dealing with Adolescents
* Aging Parents
* Educational help for our children
* Fatherhood skills building class
* Marriage Workshops
